The Spelling Bee

30 May, 2009 (16:01) | home, residency | By: Gina

Since I’m waiting for the call room to be properly cleaned before I go take a nap while on call today, I’ve been watching TV in the lounge.  The national spelling bee is on ESPN (it’s a repeat from earlier this week I believe) and I’m hooked!  These kids are so smart and so good [...]

OMG!

29 May, 2009 (22:42) | residency | By: Gina

Guys… I have one more ward call tomorrow and then 5 more ER calls between now and June 18th…and then I’m call-free until August!  This is my final ward call as an intern!  Woohoo!!! I can’t believe this year is almost coming to its end.  Expect an introspective post at some point.  Or it may [...]

Kekeke

I’m enjoying my day off tomorrow by starting off right…staying up late now.  It’s awesome.  So what if I keep yawning and Moira’s dozed off in the papasan chair?!?

Man oh man

So, I’m sticking with my first love, the HTC TouchPro2.  There was never any question really… I was just intrigued by the HTC Lancaster since it’s powered by Android, but the TouchPro2 itself is just so much prettier and nicer. I had clinic today and I’m on wards, and I feel I had a pretty [...]

I’m in love

So I’m having trouble deciding which I lust more at the moment… the previously mentioned HTC TouchPro2, the upgraded version of my phone with Windows Mobile 6.5 and HTC’s very own TouchFlo interface for AT&T, known as the Fortress… Or the HTC Lancaster, the touch-screen, QWERTY Android (hell yeah!) phone I didn’t even know was [...]

Moira's Misadventures

25 May, 2009 (20:34) | the dog | By: Gina

Guys, we left Moira uncaged when we went out the other day and when we came home… Everything was fine!  No extra holes in the walls, no destroyed furniture, no chewed-up jackets, nothing!  We may have to try leaving her like that for longer and longer periods of time until she finally can be trusted. [...]

Poor puppy

23 May, 2009 (21:36) | friends, the dog | By: Gina

Evan and I went with Zack and Joe to Ann and Matt’s wedding today.  It was all very nice and pretty, but it makes me sad to think that this may the last time I ever see them in person. Then, because of how everything lined up, we had to leave as soon as the [...]

Sigh…

Days off are over much too quickly.  Shopping and napping have taken up the majority of my day, and then I have to go to work tomorrow. Today was fantastic though.  I feel I’m probably ready to handle vacation in a month and am capable of spending 10 days doing nothing productive

Heck yeah!

Since I have the day off tomorrow (a much, much, MUCH needed day off), my sisters came up for a nice, home-cooked dinner, some Freddy’s frozen custard, and a couple hours of Rock Band.  Last time I played was whenever my sisters last came up here to play with me.  It. Was. Awesome.  Hopefully, with [...]

No noon conference and no food?!?

20 May, 2009 (20:20) | friends | By: Gina

We snuck out of campus today for lunch at Thai House II and it was awesome.  I like getting free food at our noon conferences but getting to go out with a small group of friends for something different, far away from work, is always a better alternative.  Unfortunately, I now owe Sadie AND Jasmine [...]

Blurgh

Only 12 more days until I’m done with wards as an intern.  Until I’m done with wards until 2010!!!  Thank God…I think I’d kill myself if I had to do this for the rest of my life. So my plans this week so far…hang out with the nerds for dinner tomorrow (? since they’ll be [...]

Moira's Misadventures

18 May, 2009 (20:20) | the dog | By: Gina

See this cute, sweet little puppy? She’s really not all that nice and sweet.  The rope toy we got her last month looks like this now. So what she’s done is eat away at one whole section of the rope at a time, and then untwist what’s left.  See?  Like a mad surgeon, she is… [...]
