My dad
Back in October or November, my dad complained of some heaviness in his chest and (thankfully) actually listened to me when I said he needed to see his doctor. Some EKGs, stress-testing, and imaging later, he ended up at St. Anthony’s for a trip to their cath lab and ended up getting stented in November. He felt better afterwards, but still not great, and returned today for his follow-up and for another stent. I was kind of nervous but figured everything was going to be okay. Evan and I headed over to Saint’s after I got home from noon conference and met Anna and Michelle in his room. He hadn’t come back to it yet from cath lab, so we waited.
He looked even better as they were wheeling him in this time than last time, and he says he doesn’t feel as tired anymore. He dozed on and off all afternoon while we hung out with him but seemed to be in decent spirits overall. Michelle’s spending the night with him there and will drive him home tomorrow, when his doctor’s planning to discharge him.
Since his first trip to the hospital, he’s quit smoking (yay!!!), started exercising (running on his treadmill), and eating healthier snacks. We need to work on getting him to eat healthy foods all the time instead of just as snacks, but at least it’s a start!

does this mean we have to eat healthy foods too?
