Gina Bean!

Our TV died this weekend, leaving us without any background noise while we worked and hung out at home.  I initially panicked and called Samsung about it on Sunday; they said they’d have some local TV repair people call us the next day and that whatever was wrong with the TV wasn’t covered under warranty anymore.  After getting off the phone, I figured I’d better do some research and see if we could figure out what was wrong ourselves instead of paying potentially a lot of money for nothing.

After some reading, I decided our lamp was dying.  That’s normal after several thousand hours and was supposedly easy to replace on your own.  So a few clicks later, we’d paid for a new lamp and were waiting patiently for the order to come in.

And it finally came in today!  Replacing it was easy (but scary) says Evan, and we probably saved almost $200 by not having some random dude come out to our place to look at it.  Back to enjoying some Netflix movies!
