Totally geeking out

Since Peter Jackson announced Martin Freeman would be Bilbo Baggins in the upcoming movies based on The Hobbit, I’ve been eagerly taking in every little piece of news I can find and I am already so, so excited for when the movies come out.  I’ve started rereading the book, I’m wondering if I can pull together a hobbit costume in time for Halloween, and when I was messing around on my computer earlier, the PDF file titled “Fellowship Listings” actually made me think for a couple seconds it was about hobbits before I realized it was work/future work related.

Meanwhile, I’m also very excited about our upcoming trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando.  Michelle’s Slytherin scarf is done, Anna’s working on her Gryffindor one, and I’m working on my Ravenclaw one.  Jasmine already has one I made her last year, and the boys aren’t interested in the scarves (I know we probably won’t need them in November in Orlando, but still).  We’ll all drink some butterbeer in celebration of Michelle’s 21st birthday and spend way more money than we should.  And then the movie comes out the following weekend!!!

So, in anticipation of the movie’s release, here’s what I had fun making today…the first day of my golden weekend.

(Website here.   I didn’t spend all day making the poster on my own.  I did spend more time than I care to admit trying out different pictures of her though.)
