Gina Bean!

After spending about 15 minutes bundling ourselves up, Evan and I got the ol’ harness on Moira and took her outside.  It was much, much colder than when we took her out in the snow last year, but she still seemed to enjoy it (at first anyway).  She started shivering a little when she was standing still, so we ended up coming back in after just a few minutes.  It was plenty of time for her to do her doggy business though!

After warming up with some hot cocoa, I went through a tiny roller coaster of emotion as I checked my emails.  First I was hopeful my clinic would be cancelled tomorrow, then angry and sad when it wasn’t, then shamed that I’d get upset about going to work for a couple hours when there are friends and coworkers who’ve been there a couple days and are likely to be stuck there a couple days more.  I figured the best solution was to take a nap, and woke up to find out clinic was, in fact, cancelled for tomorrow and I was happy all over again!

Then, to top it off, Dad has learned to text pretty well and has also learned to use smiley faces.  He’s so adorable.

Me: Yay, I don’t have to go to work tomorrow!

Dad: How about me?

Me: You should call in sick if they’re not closing, hehehe

Dad: Good idea! Hahaha
