Night float

Walking in at 5pm and having the pager go non-stop for the first hour that 8 patients have hit the floor is not how I imagined my shift would begin.  Thankfully, Batoul and I are splitting admissions so I don’t have to do all 8 by myself.  We managed to see all of them, tuck them in, and even grab dinner before we’re hit with the next wave.  (We currently  have 3 we know of that are coming.  Deepest apologies to the day teams for all these patients.)
