Gina Bean!

We’ve been teasing Amanda this month because both times she’s been on call, she’s admitted a ton of babies to the team.  She was post-call today and went home around 11am, but it really didn’t seem like things improved after she left.  We had several emergent C-sections, a surprise delivery, and then one where we stood there waiting for almost 2 hours while the poor, exhausted mom-to-be pushed and pushed before the baby was finally born.  In addition to that, babies who should’ve been well had problems and had to go to the higher acuity area away from their moms or go to the NICU for closer monitoring.

Here’s hoping all the badness is out of the air by tomorrow.  I’m not sure I want to deal with another day like that for a while.
