I’m mostly done with this insanely busy ER month. It’s a fun place to be, but I’m ready to be around other residents and to go to noon conference again so I actually know how everyone’s doing. I mean, everyone besides the hundreds of patients who come through the ER.
After a few blissful days off, in which I began developing flu-like symptoms, I’m headed back to work today as the noon to midnight resident. The naproxen I took is starting to kick in (finally!) so hopefully it won’t be too bad today.

Our 2nd annual game of Secret Santa, as coordinated by Jasmine, went beautifully. For those 30 minutes or so at work, we can all forget our responsibilities and act like 5 year olds on Christmas morning. It’s a wonderful tradition I hope will continue after our class is gone.
Who thought I could enjoy an entire week of clinic? The cardiology and nephrology attendings are awesome and I’ve had so much fun this week. It actually makes me rather sad that this is our shortest rotation month.
